Introducing the Timberline Bed

Seen for the first time at the San Francisco International Gift show in February, this handcrafted iron bed was inspired by Mt. Hood's Timberline Lodge in Portland Oregon. Massive wood beams, rough hammered metal and artisan-created furniture and lighting illuminate this Pacific Northwest lodge creating a warm environment polished by age.

Drawing from the distinctive character of the lodge, Portland designer Elizabeth Cramer created this unique piece of furniture as a remberance of her trip to Timberline. Architectural features from Portland's treasure were translated into the bed's adornments. Featuring hand-hewn planks held together by forged-iron brackets and copper pyramid tacks; Cramer reproduced the feeling of the lodge in this bed rather than creating a lodge-looking piece. The Timberline bed is transitional enough to complement both traditional and contemporary interior styles.
